“I represent the Royal Family across the county. However, I also represent the people of Somerset. I would therefore like to very sincerely offer you, in what is an inadequate format I know, a profound thank you for what you have done and continue to do. It is a magnificent response to the difficulties currently being faced and I salute you, with great pride, for what you are achieving.”
Catering company Somerset Larder is supplying meals to NHS workers in the county, in order to help support them through the coronavirus emergency. The Bridgwater based company is sending 3,000 meals a week to the Somerset NHS Health Foundation Trust, which includes Musgrove Park Hospital and 30 other community hospitals and medical facilities. They will be distributed three times a day to all staff, including to care workers who have to travel to patients’ homes.
Somerset Larder is helping to support those in most need in our community during the Coronavirus crisis. Our chefs have been preparing 250 meals to be sent to Fareshare, which helps vulnerable people through difficult times. We have always supported this amazing charity, but they need our help now more than ever.
