We work with some of the best food and drink suppliers in the south west of England. From artisan bread makers, to large dairy farmers and seasonal fruit growers, to bespoke drinks manufacturers. Each of them are personally known to us and are established, trusted producers in their local communities.
Here a just a few of our partners.
“It’s not only the quality of our products which makes us so special. It’s also the close links we have created and maintained with local farmers since our business was set up by Phil and Beryl Pyne in 1984.We only sell meat from animals that have been reared to the highest standard. And there’s a further advantage in our policy of local sourcing: livestock only have to travel a few miles to slaughter – and stress free animals means better tasting meat.”
“We’ve been at North Gundenham for more than 80 years so we like to think we know a thing or two about dairy farming. Our exciting range of milk, cream, butter, cheese and other delicious products are available for local delivery directly to your door. 4,000 discerning and loyal household and business customers can’t be wrong – if you’re looking for a truly local product and a flexible, friendly service.”
“The mists which cover Glastonbury Tor early in the morning sometimes make it difficult to see the rolling hills of Somerset below in all their beauty. One thing that is always crystal clear is the spring water which rises from beneath it, high in calcium and surrounded by myth and legend, with a deliciously unique and crisp taste.”
“Great products and a customer service level second to none. We want you to get the very best of everything and we offer a truly eclectic range of fresh fruit and vegetables, Fine foods, dairy and much more to make sure you do. We have monthly special offers across our fine food range and our inhouse development chef is always available for you to discuss the very latest innovations.”
“Traditionally made and baked late to guarantee freshness, we use the best ingredients to get the best bread! Our great selection of savouries is baked fresh every morning with delicious fillings wrapped in Mortimers unique puff pastry. Our cakes are traditionally made by “Chalky”, our man in the know. He’s been making your cakes for 30 years, from yummy slices to the greatest cupcakes around!”
“Founded by James Fisher in 2001, Clifton Coffee Company began its life servicing espresso machinery in the independent businesses of Bristol. As the reputation for service grew, so too did the demand for supply of coffee & equipment and so, just a couple of years later, when joined by Ed Buston, Clifton Coffee began wholesaling roasted coffees to the surrounding area, backed up with relatively unknown at the time ‘barista training’ to support its wholesale customers. As the company grew, a few key Bristol-based multi-site customers joined us – all of which we are still proud to serve today, 15 years later.”
We use the west country’s leading regional wholesalers, combining service excellence with a people-friendly approach and setting the standards for best practice in our industry. Our suppliers are committed to supporting local farmers and food enterprises, whilst always valuing the importance of great taste and high quality. Where possible, travelling less than 100 miles from source to distribution. Examples include MJ Baker, Hunt’s Foodservice and Bidfood.
