We have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Front of House Manager to join our campus team on our Hinkley Point C contract on a 12-month contract, based primarily at Sedgemoor Campus, which provides accommodation for many of the teams working on the construction of the project. Our campus hospitality operation is comprised of bar, kitchen and restaurant staff. Our Chef Managers and Front of House Managers ensure each aspect of our hospitality and catering service is consistently delivered to a high standard. Our Sedgemoor campus is situated close to the M5 and within easy reach of Bridgwater town centre.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Reporting to and supporting the Front of House Manager, you’ll be managing and leading the Front of House Team, which is made up of General Catering Assistants and Catering Supervisors. We are looking for someone who is a true team leader, who can motivate and engage their team with charisma and a hands-on, proactive approach.
If you have bar management experience, this would be an added bonus, but it’s not essential; as long as you have strong experience in managing others. You’ll be someone the Front of House Manager can rely on, so that you can support with the planning of the campus services so that they are delivered in line with our customers’ requirements.
Continuous improvement is incredibly important to us as we want to nurture our staff, so you’ll support with the training and development of the campus staff and act as a role model when it comes to best practice.
Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Management experience in catering operations gained in a similar environment
- A working knowledge of leading operational compliance for H&S regulations
- A thorough understanding of the administrative and financial responsibilities associated with catering management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven track record of successfully motivating and leading a team
- Demonstrable experience of leading Customer Service Excellence
